Sharing Hope Through God's Word

10 Favorite Christian Instagram Accounts for Encouragement and Community

How’s your month been? What have you been up to lately? I know personally I’ve found myself scrolling through Instagram a lot recently. These are some accounts that I always love to see come across my feed. Their posts are always encouraging and normally help me think about God and His Word from a fresh perspective. Most of these accounts are ones that my best friend and I exchange throughout the week, sending each other posts or videos we’ve found helpful and encouraging. If you follow me on Instagram at all, you’ve probably seen at least some of these names pop up on my stories.

1. Deanna (@dahter_)

I love Deanna’s posts. She posts conversations between her and the Father, recounting different things He’s shown her. She uses an interview-style setup for her videos which makes them feel cozy, like a conversation between friends. My best friend and I often end up sending each other at least a few of her videos every week or so. She’s helped both of us begin to think more deeply about our relationships with God, how God views us, and seeing God as more of a Father than either of us really ever have. Her videos are encouraging and thought-provoking. She has a book out right now called Unraveled that details a lot of these conversations as well.

2. Mo (@moworshipxox)

I found Mo’s account through this video.

She has a powerful, beautiful voice and you can tell how much she loves the Lord and wants to serve Him in everything. She posted recently in her broadcast channel on Instagram a bible study idea that I’ve taken up as well. Going through Psalm 119 a handful of verses at a time. I believe she’s taking the chapter two or three stanzas at a time. I’ve taken mine a single stanza at a time. But regardless of how you decide to study this chapter, if you do, I think you’ll find what she said to be true. Taking it piece by piece helps you to meditate on the word and rebuilds a love for God’s law if yours has been lacking. I had hit a lull in my excitement for bible study and her suggestion came at the perfect time.

Here’s what mine looks like:

3. Athena (@athenaavellanet)

Athena is another favorite. She posts a lot of reels talking about God and what He’s showing her lately, speaking from scripture with knowledge and understanding of the Word in a way that’s easy to understand and relate to your everyday life. Here are a couple of my favorites:

4. Allison (@allisonsbrost)

Allison I found through my friend sending her posts over to me. She’s a mom, singer, and worship leader and her posts are often good reminders that God fights our battles for us. He’s our best listener, greatest supporter, and the most perfect Father. She also has a book out right now called “This Side of Perfect: Holding onto Hope when Life Gets Hard.” Both her book and her posts point back to God being our greatest hope always, even if it doesn’t look like there’s any hope left from our perspective.

5. Ashley (@ashleyhetherington or @thehoneyscoop)

Ashley posts a lot of “holy girl” style tips and videos. She centers on waiting on God and lifestyle tips for Christian girls in their 20s. She just recently released a book, as well, of devotionals centered on waiting on God called “The Joy of the In-Between”. Her reels tend to show the dual nature of a Christian walk, especially if you’re in the middle of a waiting season. God gives us joy in our lives, very true joy, but there is also a lot of growth that hurts in the process too.

6. Trent Tribe (@trent.tribe)

This is one of my favorites to have show up in my feed. He posts videos about things we deal with in our Christian walk, such as navigating gossip or differentiating God’s voice from our own, with serious advice, but done in a playful way that helps the information sink in better. I’m usually laughing at some point in his videos but also ending them thinking deeper about a bible verse I’ve probably always heard and never really considered what it meant and how it applies to my life.

7. Grace (@grayyseea)

I found Grace’s account pretty recently but I always love seeing her posts and she’s one of the ones that I probably share the most on my stories. They’re usually short but don’t cut corners. She has a good understanding of God’s word and is sharing it faithfully in a way that’s easily understandable and applicable, and usually in a way that I hadn’t thought of. This post in particular is one that does that.

8. Trust God Bro (@trustgodbro)

This account is great for quick quotes and thought-provoking conversations. They’re always encouraging and I love seeing them. They post a lot of Christian quotes, verses, and sayings that are good daily reminders of what God says about Himself and about us.

9. Jackie Hill Perry (@jackiehillperry)

I love her. She talks about real stuff and has a great personality to get her point across too. This one is one I saw recently and it helped illustrate an idea that I’ve often heard, but didn’t really understand that much.

10. Sahara Jane Lequang (@saharalequang)

This is another account that I’ve found more recently, but her posts are great encouragement to keep going with God. He’s always worth it. She posts a lot about our identity in Christ and staying close with Him. Making time with Him intentional and as important to us as it is to Him.

I hope you find a few new accounts to follow from this list and that they encourage you as much as they encourage me. Let me know if you have any favorites that I haven’t included on this list. I’m always happy to find new Christian accounts. Have a great rest of March and happy Easter! He is risen indeed!
