The Place Called Home
“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.” Galatians 4:7
“And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.” Luke 15:20-24
God takes us from enemies, worse than strangers, and calls us home to be family. God is our home. He’s the place of comfort and rest we’re looking for. This blog is meant to be a place to get to know God better together and offer some comfort and rest as well.
“For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” Hebrews 13:14-16
This world is not our home, but we’re meant to make it better while we’re here.
Everyone needs a place where they can find comfort, rest, inspiration, and freedom. That’s what this blog is meant to be. A place to find community with one another. To find the freedom offered in following Christ. To learn how to be a good steward of the world He’s given us and to see the beauty in His creation, from the landscapes to the people in them.
